BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN FOOD CLUB
What is the Blackburn with Darwen ‘Food Club’?
The Blackburn with Darwen Food Club bridges the gap between those in Food crisis and those being able to fully support themselves using traditional supermarkets by providing a weekly “food box” at a highly subsidised cost
How does it work?
There is no annual membership to pay to be part of the club.
The boxes cost £6 for a large box / £4 for a small box of food containing fresh fruit, vegetables, tinned and dried produce, cheese, yogurt and bread, the remaining cost is being subsidised by Blackburn with Darwen Council.
Orders are placed through Community & Business Partners on 01254 291 271 and delivered to a choice of the following locations for collection on Wednesdays from 2pm
- Bangor St Community Centre,
- Audley Centre, Chester St,
- Shadsworth Hub
- Mill Hill Community Centre,
- Darwen Family hub
- Livesey Family Hub
Who is eligible?
The food club is open to residents across Blackburn with Darwen who need support to purchase food.
